Hi my name is Aleziy (Alosha). I am a Bio-Architect and founder of the international online Bio-Veda Academy.

 

I've dedicated most of my life in merging the greatest minds of the planet to develop, engineer and build bio-mimicry inspired Architecture

My education took place in: Russia, Belgium, United States, Mexico, Thailand, South Africa and Ghana. I am a practitioner and I've implemented all the learned wisdom on my own lands as well during the various workshops I've conducted all over the world.

​

A few years back I returned to my homeland Russia to build Zhiva Grad - a series of eco cities and communities that are harmoniously integrated into the environment. They are designed to have self heating and cooling tropical green houses. In Zhiva-Grad each resident is engaged in pursuing his/hers talents.

I believe Mike Reynold, from Earhship Academy took a right strategy to form a Bio-Architectural construction company to build his village in Taos. Training natural builders is a first step towards landing any community on the ground.

 

Since 2017 I've  been following a similar strategy with my online Bio-Veda Academy.

 

This summer I am organising a 3-week live workshop where you will learn the basics of bio-architecture and eco-engineering.  Together we'll build the first fully off-grid and autonomous self-heating and self-cooling house in Russia. We will fuse an EarhShip with CalEarth Hyper Adobe method all executed in my unique ethnic Russian style. 

 

Here is what we will build and a set of skills you will walk away with:

• We will construct walls with a handheld 3D printer that flexibly and plastically moulds hyper adobe. I will shortly describe this magnificent material   

• From this wonder tube we'll also build an egg-shaped dome.

• With premade aircrete bricks you will learn how to build a smooth bubble dome with round windows

• We will build a timber vaulted roof that can withstand 2000 pounds per square foot 

• For a self-contained water system, we'll build an Earthship Botanical cell that will filter shower water to flush the toilet.

So what is this magical handheld 3D printer? It is a homemade contraption that ‘prints’, in a sleeve, a mortar consisting of 9% cement and 91% of ordinary sandy soil.  Therefore the cost per linear metre is 7 times cheaper than brick. If you look at the thermodynamic and structural properties, hyper adobe is an earthen stone, which we can mould like plasticine - any shape, should you follow the right geometry. It is popular for its economy, malleability and fire resistance.

 

To date, in my projects, I've used more than 27000 linear feet of this wonder material.

I have edged garden beds, built terraces, domes and vaults, spiral showers, spiral curls and a bath, masonry stove, underground and above ground water tanks, many botanical cells, constructed wetlands and even a curved wall that stopped a river from flooding my garden. Hyper adobe can be plastered beautifully without the use of stucco mesh. 

 

This home is an important prototype that will test the technologies, that I've been drafting for a decade, which will allow for a bioshelter, with a tropical greenhouse, to heat itself in cold and overcast climates. With slight adaptations this design will also be perfect for hot regions.

After the training, I will build in the heat exchangers that will systematically transfer heat from the sun and hot compost, into the earthen berm. The installation process will be will be recorded and you will get the video footage once complete. It will also be provided in my Wautillarium video training. 

​

In the evenings around the fire and a guitar, we will discuss a detailed plan for the realisation of our first Zhiva-Grad International cooperative community.
